John William “John Bill’’ Greer, 95, of Marshfield, was born Oct. 22, 1928, in Webster County to Joseph R. and Verna M. (Young) Greer and died Monday, Dec. 18, 2023, in Springfield. He is survived by his daughter, Joan Cologna and her husband Jim of Springfield; two sons, Jim Greer and his wife Becky of Edmond, Okla. and John T. Greer and his wife Shari of Wimberley, Texas; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, 2023, at Day Funeral Home in Marshfield. Masonic services were conducted by Glen Cron of Webster Lodge No. 98. Burial was at Marshfield Cemetery in Marshfield. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Marshfield Lions Club or Webster Lodge No. 98.
