Joyce Lovena (Laughlin) Yelton, 84 of Washington, Mo., formerly of Waynesville, died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2023, in the Mercy Hospital of Washington, Mo.

She is survived by her husband Michael “Mickey” Yelton of Washington, Mo.; four children, Michaeleen Sulltrop (Randy) of Washington Mo., Melissa Shust (Nestor) of Washington, Mo., Mike Yelton (Wendy) of Coweta, Okla. and Melanie Stringer (Scott) of Cassville; eight grandchildren: Derek Kimmis of Columbia, Drew Kimmis (Cassandra) of Brooklyn, N.Y., Brian Sulltrop (Courtney) of Stockton, Deserae Kimmis of Warrenton, Allison Parks (Brian) of Coweta, Okla., Dalton Shust of Washington, Mo., Laura Stringer of Denver, Colo. and Cole Stringer of Atlanta, Ga.; nine great-grandchildren: Rylan, Triston, Trinity, Eleanor, Elijah, Jeremiah, Kori, Noah, and Callum; one brother: Jerry Laughlin (Betty) of Waynesville; two sisters: Janell Napier (Dave) of Eminence, and Jamie Otradovec (Mike) of Camdenton; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at noon Thursday, Dec. 28, 2023, in the Mt. Gibson Baptist Church of Waynesville. Burial will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery of Waynesville

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service at noon Thursday, Dec. 28, 2023 in the Mt. Gibson Baptist Church of Waynesville.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Joyce Yelton and may be left at Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.
