Karen Jean Price was born December 16, 1960 to Hershel Lee Looney and Crystal McGuire Looney in Lebanon. She passed to her eternal home Monday, December 18, 2023 in Lebanon.

Karen grew up in Lebanon and was a cheerleader for Lebanon High School, where she graduated in the class of 1979.

She was a “Daddy’s Girl” and would accompany him to spot fires in his job as a forestry agent. They did many activities together and she learned so much from him.

Following graduation, she was employed at Dove Senior Center where she would make her career in caring for hundreds of people that lived in the Center throughout her years there. Karen had briefly attended college to become a nurse, but she was needed by her family and was blessed to be able to help her family as well as care for those at the Center. Her career at the Dove Senior Center eventually led to her owning and operating the facility. She was loved and respected by many in the industry.

When Dove Senior Center closed, she was employed as a cook for Lebanon R-III Schools. She was a great person to work with and made everyone feel special. She had a bright personality and made friends wherever she went.

On May 6, 1995, Karen was united in marriage to Dennis A. Price and they shared over twenty-eight years of love and laughter, as well as the challenges of life.

She was involved in the Harley Owner’s Group and enjoyed riding motorcycles and attending shows and events. She packed as much in to life as she possibly could. She loved going to the beach, going camping, boating, dancing, shopping and laughing.

Karen was a wonderful wife, mother, and Nana to her eight precious grandchildren. She was very proud when she became a “Nana” and loved her grandchildren so very much. She looked forward to spending time with them, playing with them, reading to them, sharing special moments and making memories with them. They were her life.

Karen was preceded in death by her father, Hershel Looney; her step-father, Joe Fisher; and her father-in-law, Albert Price.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Price, of the home; her children; Ashley Green and her husband Steven of Lebanon, Lauren Willard and her husband Blane of Lebanon, Brandon Boston and his wife Melissa of Lebanon, Kristina Price and her husband Juan of Green Castle, and Andy Price and his wife Carly of Blue Springs; eight grandchildren; Jaxton, Waylon, Sadie, Landry, Deagan, Reed, Jade and Phoenix; her mother, Crystal Looney of Lebanon; a sister, Jeana Southard and her husband Rick of Lebanon; and a brother; Mike Looney and his wife Diann of Lebanon.
