Maxine Helen Cullen

Posted

On October 20, 2026 God called Maxine Helen Cullen (Max) to be forever with Dave, the love of her life. She was a very loving person and in return much loved by many. We will miss her.

Maxine was born on July 31, 1943 to Kenneth and Frances Ellingsworth of Elysian Minn. She joined brother Tom and they were followed by brother Jerry. Maxine attended Elysian area schools, graduating in 1961 from Waterville High.

Maxine met David/Dave Cullen shortly after and they married on January 24, 1962. They celebrated their 62nd anniversary days before Dave’s passing in January 2024. She missed him every day.

Maxine and Dave had two children, both of who survive her. Tammy Streeval of Lebanon, MO who’s husband is Greg and Tim Cullen who lives in Republic MO. Maxine loved being Mom to her kids. She was important in the life of Tam’s son, Josh Cullen of Lebanon who also survives her along with his wife and son, Shanda and Caleb.

Maxine and Dave made their home in the Pacific NW (St. Maries Idaho and St. Helens Oregon) for many years but had been Lebanon residents since 1981. Maxine worked for Front Row Video as store manager for 23 years retiring 2005. She was more than a boss as over the years she took much pride in being a mentor and friend to many of the young people who the store employed, building lifelong relationships.

Maxine is also survived by brother Jerry Ellingsworth and wife Cheri, sibling in-laws Marilyn, Juli and John, step grand, Joanne and more nephews, nieces, greats and friends than countable. We all loved her.

At Maxine’s request a service will not be held.  A memorial celebration of her life will be announced at a later time. When you run into her loved ones or a mutual friend, please stop to share a hug and/or memory.  She gave good hugs.

Arrangements are under the direction of  Fraker Funeral Home, Inc. of Marshfield.
