Michael Lee Anderson, 71, of Richland, died Thursday, July 25, 2024, in Springfield.
He was born Dec. 15, 1952, in Alton, Ill. to Morris and Polly Ann Keehner Anderson.
On July 10, 2004, he was united in marriage to Sally Goetz.
Those preceding him in death include his parents; three siblings, Debra Anderson, Eric Monroe and Will Monroe.
Michael was an iron worker. He was employed with both Galvaform and Durham Company for a period of time. In his free time, he enjoyed riding horses and motorcycles. He also enjoyed family barbeques and dancing, especially to country music. He was passionate about his 1966 Ford and his family. Time spent and laughter shared with those he loved was precious to him.
Michael is survived by his wife Sally; children, Christopher Anderson and his wife Holly, Jason Anderson, Addis Anderson, Charles Anderson, Brandy Anderson and Lisa Logue; two brothers, David Anderson and Brian Anderson; three sisters, Penny Sikora, Janet Anderson, Annette Redner; nineteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, July 28, 2024, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with Pastor Steve Jones officiating. Burial will be in Hazelgreen Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 Sunday morning, until service time, also at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.
