Orville Franklin Sergent, 83, of Buffalo, was born Nov. 22, 1940, in Fillmore, Calif. to M. Gene Sergent and Jeannette Elizabeth Maier and died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2023. He is survived by his wife Gay and daughters, Cindy (Larry) Hopke, Kristal (Sean) Watson, Jeannette (Tim) Reeves and Jessie; a number of grandchildren and a great-grandson; siblings, Raymond (Betty), Linda (Burnell) Crain, Gerald (Veva). Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 22, 203, at Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home in Buffalo. Burial will be private. The family requests no flowers be sent. A memorial will provide books for a library.
