Rex James Atkisson, 58, of Grovespring, died Friday, Jan. 20, 2023, at his home.
He was born Feb. 29, 1964, in Cook County, Ill. to William J. Atkisson and Joan L. Bayles.
Rex was preceded in death by his father, William A. Atkisson.
He is survived by his wife Tammy King; two stepdaughters, Stephanie King and Tonya Tipsword; one son, Justin Stafford; one daughter, Kayla Shirley; his mother, Joan Reedy; one brother, Larry Reedy; two sisters, Rosalie Thompson and Cheryl Moore; his stepmother, Judy Lee; one stepbrother, DeWayne Dugger; one stepsister, Rhonda Lamb; several grandchildren, and a number of extended family and friends.
A visitation for Rex James Atkisson will be held from 1-4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 2023, at the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home in Hartville. There will be no funeral service.
