SGM (Ret) Sam Byron Peeler, Jr., 85 of Waynesville, a retired United States Army Sergeant Major, passed away Monday, September 30, 2024, in the Harry S. Truman Hospital of Columbia, Mo
SGM (Ret) Peeler is survived by six children, Patricia Hardyman (Chuck) of Summerfield, Fla., Juanita Connors (John T.) of Dixon, Elizabeth Adkins of Waynesville, Carmen Cowles (Bryon) of Goshen, Ind., Sam Peeler III (Jennifer) of Goshen, Ind. and Michael Peeler of Ocala, Fla.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister: Janice Calloway (Tom) of Orlando, Fla.; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services with military honors will be held at noon Monday, October 7, 2024, in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert. Burial will be held at a later date in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery of Waynesville.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service at noon Monday, October 7, 2024, in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.
