As a Mercy paramedic, Tatiana Bashant has found her favorite way to help.
“I like making an impact in the community. It’s my biggest passion, and being able to make a difference in the community I grew up with is what I always wanted to do. You never know what kind of emergency someone is going to have. That’s the biggest thing for me …If I can make a difference there so they don’t have stay in the hospital for very long or can survive a life-or-death situation, I want to be there to at least comfort them, provide peace for them,” Bashant said.
Being a paramedic was not her first path. Bashant, 31, searched for the best way for her to make a difference after graduating from Lebanon High School.
