Bobby Joe “Bob’’ Hill, 81, of Lebanon died Friday, Aug. 11, 2023, in Lebanon.
He was born April 5, 1942, in Lebanon to Otto Alvin and Hettie Lucille Green Hill.
On Jan. 5, 1962, he was united in marriage to Kathryn Mathena.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Lawrence, Danny and Charlie Hill and by two sisters, Shirley Frederick and Betty Rogers.
He retired from working several years and in many departments as a Laclede County employee. He also served as associate pastor of Ira Missionary Baptist Church.
Bob is survived by his wife Kathryn; three sons, Rick Hill and his wife Debbie Randy Hill and his wife Davana and Tom Hill and his wife Sheri, all Lebanon; two daughters, Kathy Peppers of Springfield, and Karen Lamar and her husband Ronnie of Eldridge; 15 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren and eleven great-great-grandchildren; his sisters-in-law, Becky Hill of Camdenton; Willa Faye Hill and Norma Snelling of Stoutland; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
Funeral services for Bob Hill will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, 2023, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with Doug McGuire and Jay Parrott officiating. Burial will be in Hufft Cemetery. Visitation for Bob will begin at noon Thursday, Aug. 17, 2023, until service time at 2 p.m., also at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions may be made to the Bob Hill Family and donations can be left at or mailed to Shadel’s Colonial Chapel, P.O. Box 948, Lebanon, Mo. 65536.
