Burley May Isaacs was born March 14, 1935 in Stoutland to Clint Devore and Edith Devore.

Burley May passed away on October 5, 2023, in Tennova Healthcare in Cleveland, Tennessee. At the time of her passing, she was eighty-eight years, six months and twenty-one days of age.

Burley May was married to Wilson Isaacs on June 7, 2013.

Burley was of the Pentecostal faith. She loved God and served him faithfully throughout her life. She had attended Grace Baptist Church, as well as several other churches and revivals.

She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and being a part of their lives as much as she possibly could. She was best known for being loving, caring and generous.

She really enjoyed crafting. She made things for herself, as well as others. Many times she used her talent for gifts at Christmas and other special occasions. She also collected trinkets.

Burley is survived by her sons, Robert Bohannon and his wife, Diane of Coolidge, Arizona and Alan Johnston of Sleeper; a daughter, Glennis Hamilton of Lebanon; her step-son, Christopher Isaacs and his wife, Nikki; her grandchildren, Heather Phiefer, Stormy Vaughn, Sabrine Renfrew, Tiffany Lamar, Seth Bohannon, Brian Johnston, Tyler Johnston, Vanessa Hamilton and Ashley Hamilton; two sisters, Velma Knapp and Joyce Blackburn, both of Lebanon; a brother, Charles Devore of Gem, Kansas.

Burley is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wilson Isaacs; her sisters, Ruby, Bonnie, Fay and Dollie; her brothers, James, George, Everett, Earl and Bill.

The service for Burley Isaacs will be held Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Holman-Howe Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. with Mike Allen officiating. Visitation will be Friday, October 13, 2023 from 6 - 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

A memorial has been established and donations may be made through the funeral home.
