Elmer “Gene’’ Eugene Kite, 82, of Buffalo, was born Feb. 1, 1941, in Pacific Junction, Iowa to Darlene Helen Fisher and Otis Neal Kite, and died Friday, Oct. 13, 2023, at Colonial Springs Healthcare Facility in Buffalo. He is survived by his children, Jeff and Linda Kite of Halfway, Theresa and Stephen Bowers of Bolivar, Loretta and Robert Meredith of Bolivar, Neal Kite of Creighton (Gene’s favorite nephew); a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023, at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo with Pastor Jerry Bone officiating, under the direction of Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo.
