Jack Lee Still, 81, of Columbia died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2023, in Columbia.

He was born July 11, 1942, in Lebanon to Robert Glen and Jessie McClanahan Still.

On July 29, 1962, he was united in marriage to Joyce Deann Jones.

Those preceding him in death include his parents; one daughter, Jackie Still; one brother, Bob Still; and one sister, Kathleen Chambers.

Jack was a hard worker and took great pride in providing for his family. He was a foreman for General Motors for over 30 years at the plant in Kansas City, until his retirement. After retiring, he did consulting work for paint and air filter companies in manufacturing. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Kansas City Royals fan. However, family came first. He was a devoted family man. Time spent with them is what he treasured most.

He was a longtime member of Sycamore Baptist Church in Independence and currently a member of Mt. Zion/Cuba Church.

He is survived by his wife Deann; one son, Roger Still and his wife Cherise of Columbia; two grandchildren, Brady and Abby Still; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dale Jones and his wife Debra of Ozark; Darlene Rue and her husband Darrel of Grovespring; Delynn Lowrance and her husband Rick of Mountain Grove; Doralee Chisum and her husband Rod of Bella Vista, Ark. and David Jones and his wife Missti, of Sulphur, Okla.; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

A graveside service and burial for Jack Lee Still will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, 2023, at Mt. Zion/Cuba Cemetery. There is no scheduled visitation.
