James Hilton Mercer, 82, of Springfield, was born Oct. 31, 1941, in Springfield to Mark Hilton and Rethal B. (Meyers) Mercer and died Monday, May 13, 2024.
He is survived by his wife Janice Mercer of the home; three sons, Bill Mercer and his wife Margaret, Darryl Mercer, and Duane Mercer and his wife Julie; one daughter, Kathy Hall; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Doris Letterman and Henrietta Terry.
Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Day Funeral Home in Marshfield. Burial with full military honors will be held following the funeral service at Good Spring Cemetery near Niangua. Visitation was held 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2024 with Masonic services at 6 p.m.
