Jerry Clyde Nelson, 72, of Waynesville, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2023, in the Cox Health Hospital of Springfield.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Nelson of the home in Waynesville; one daughter, Adriane Avrett (Ryan) of Chesterfield; one son, Brian Nelson (Christina) of Waynesville; one granddaughter, Violet Nelson; grand dog, Louie; one brother, Gene Nelson (Mary) of Springfield; two sisters, Cheryl Brougham of Oldsmar, Fla. and Yvonna Bays of Waynesville; stepsister, Sonya Howard-Raya of the state of Pennsylvania; several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023, in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville/St. Robert. Burial will follow in the Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery of Waynesville. Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. Friday in the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Jerry Nelson to the Gasconade Christian Service Camp or the Missouri Young Birder’s Club and may be left at Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville/St. Robert.
