1SGT (Ret.) Jesus “Jesse’’ Hernandez Jr., 89, of Waynesville, died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2023, in the Lake Regional Hospital of Osage Beach.
He is survived by his children, Jesse Hernandez III (Anita) of Eldon, Joyce Vail (Russell) of Rushville, Ind., Janet Drury of Belton, Johnny Hernandez of Sarasota, Fla., Joe Hernandez of Springfield, Ill., Jerry Hernandez of Del Valle, Texas, Judy Garner (Brent) of Lebanon, and Pedro Belligio (Joy) of Clarksville, Tenn.; 23 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; three half-siblings, Susie Miller of Austin, Texas, and Sandra Martinez and Bobby Hernandez, both of Corpus Christi, Texas; a number off nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services with Full Military Honors will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, 2023, in Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville/St. Robert. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Memorial Park in Corpus Christi, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Chapel.
Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Jesus Hernandez Jr. to the Honor Flight for Veterans. Contributions may be left at the funeral home.
