Judy Kay Truitt of Lebanon, passed away Tuesday morning, October 10, 2023 in Windsor Estates in Camdenton, Missouri. At the time of her passing, she was eighty-one years, six months and twelve days.

She was born March 29, 1942, in Phillipsburg, Missouri. She lived most of her life in Lebanon and Laclede County. On August 4, 1962, she married her true love and best friend, George Truitt. She and George were married sixty years before his passing on January 16, 2022.

Judy is survived by her sons, Jeff Truitt and his wife, Shelly of Rogers, Arkansas and Mark Truitt and his wife, Jessica of Lebanon; four grandchildren, A.J., Casey, Nicole and Jennifer; four great-grandchildren, Augie, Aria, Presley and Amelia; and one brother, Jack Moore of Forsyth, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Moore; her husband, George; her son, Duane; and two sisters, Dottie Kitch and Susie Thornton.

Judy loved her Lord and Savior and was an active member at Second Baptist Church in Lebanon until her health kept her from attending. She loved her church and her church family.

She was employed at Wal-Mart for several years, and then served for several years as a custodian with Lebanon Public Schools.

Judy enjoyed gardening and taking care of her plants. She loved watching birds and being outside admiring all of God’s creation. She was a wonderful baker. She loved making delicious baked goods for her family or to take to church for carry-in dinners.

Judy also enjoyed following the St. Louis Cardinals. She would get the schedule and plan her schedule accordingly so she could keep up with her team.

Most of all, Judy loved her family. She was so proud of her sons, Jeff and Mark, and was thrilled to be a grandmother to her precious grandchildren. She enjoyed spoiling them as often as she could and family gatherings with everyone together were the best.

Judy will be remembered for her strong faith in God, her work ethic and her great love for her family. Her love for people and gentle spirit will live on in the lives of her family.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 13, 2023, at the Mount Rose Memorial Park Mausoleum with burial in Mount Rose Memorial Park. A memorial to Second Baptist Church has been established and donations may be made through the funeral home.
