Posted

Linda Tasker passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 17, 2023, at the age of 75. She was born in Titonka, Iowa, to Avery and Lola Fitch on July 12, 1948. The family moved to Lebanon, Missouri where she grew up. Later in life Linda settled in Springfield, Mo.

She was a genuinely kind, sweet, and humble woman who instantly was treasured by anyone who met her. She had a unique way of touching people’s hearts in such a personal way. It was a gift from God that she shared so generously and graciously. Linda often talked about forgiveness and felt that it was one of the greatest gifts that God gave us. She worked for the Assemblies of God World Headquarters sharing her ministry, compassion, and love for God throughout her time there.

Linda’s love and faith formed the foundation of her family and was demonstrated in raising her children. She was an incredible mom. She loved singing and playing the piano. Her favorite song was “Jesus is the Sweetest Name I Know.’’ She also enjoyed gardening, having a cup of coffee with a friend, and loved her “Kansas City Chiefs.’’

Linda is preceded in death by her parents Avery and Lola Fitch, brother Doug Fitch, and beloved son Timothy Tasker. She is survived by her daughters Julia and Lana, brother Earl, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren whom she loved and cherished every moment she spent with them.

There will be a private Celebration of Life for Linda in Springfield on Saturday, October 7th.
