Michael Richard “Mike’’ Kelly, 80, of Springfield, was born July 12, 1943, in Lebanon to Fred William and Jewell Marie Beard Kelly and died Saturday, May 18, 2024, in Springfield.
He is survived by his wife JoEllen Kelly; his daughter, Melinda Harrelson and her husband Russell of Taylorsville, Ky.; his son, Dani Kelly and his wife Christina of Monticello, Ga.; JoEllen’s children, Camille Hughes-Strope and her husband Stan of Columbia, and Wesley Brackett and his wife Paula of Lebanon; one sister, Freda Allison of Springfield, and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Army. There is no scheduled visitation. Memorials in memory of Mike have been suggested to Lebanon High School Alumni Association. Donations can be left at or mailed to Shadel’s Colonial Chapel, P.O.
