Paul L. Hawkins

Paul L. Hawkins, 99, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, March 26, 2024, in Osage Beach.

He was born May 18, 1924 in Richland, Mo. to Arthur M. and Essie Ellen Bowling Hawkins.

On June 24, 1947, he was united in marriage to Imagean Williams.

Those preceding Paul in death include his parents; his wife, on Feb. 7, 2019; and eight siblings.

Paul entered the United States Army and proudly served our country during World War II. After his honorable discharge he began working for Independent Stave Company, where he remained for 30 years, until his retirement. Paul then became a fishing instructor, which he truly loved. He taught others until his eighties, until his health no longer allowed.

Paul is survived by one son, Paul Junior Hawkins of Pendleton, Ind.; one daughter, Paula Young and her husband Ronnie of Lebanon; one sister, Ada Church of Wyoming; five grandchildren, Melissa Silverberg, Ron Young, Jr. and Scott, Dustin Young and Michelle, Sammy Hawkins and Lindsay and Jimmy Hawkins; several great-grandchildren; twin great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Graveside services for Paul L. Hawkins will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Mount Rose Memorial Park with Matt Stowe officiating. Military honors will be provided by the United States Army, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.
