Roger Merrill Jemes, 71, of Conway, was born Jan. 30, 1952, in Lebanon to James Merrill Jemes and Laura June Fox Jemes and died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023, in Conway. He is survived by his wife Anna of the home; children, Melissa Runge and husband Alan of Lebanon, Tony Jemes and wife Cindy of Edmond, Okla., Alicia Morgan and husband Matt of Russ, Jody Jemes of Springfield; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Rhonda Wood of Conway, Rita Clinkenbeard and husband John of Phillipsburg, Sandy Beal of Russ, Mike Stout of Conway, Annie Welch and husband Robin of Conway, Marilyn Matherly of West Plains, Michelle Mullis of Fayetteville, Ark.; Martha Boswell and husband Brad of Columbia, Mark Jemes of Lebanon, Marika Love and husband Bobby of Laquey, Michael Prock of Lebanon, and Melinda Williams of Lebanon. A memorial service for Roger Merrill Jemes will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, 2023, at First Freewill Baptist Church in Lebanon. There will be a burial at a later date at Mount Zion/Cuba Cemetery, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. also on Saturday at First Freewill Baptist Church.
