SSG (Ret.) Herbert Eugene “Gene’’ Boyd, Korean War Veteran, 94, of Richland died Monday, Aug. 14, 2023, in his home.
“Gene’’ is survived by his wife Patsy of the home; three daughters, Angela (Roy) Bowling, Amber (Tom) Henderson, and Alison (Joe) Scaringello, all of Richland; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 18, 2023, in the First Christian Church of Richland. Burial with full military honors followed in the Oaklawn Cemetery of Richland. Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, with Masonic services at 6:30 p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of Richland.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Gene Boyd to the “DAV’’ Disabled American Veterans and can be left at the Memorial Chapel of Richland.
