Sue Anne Day, 80, of Lebanon died Aug. 9, 2023, at the home of some dear friends.
She was an accomplished crafter and had a love for the flora and fauna around her. She kept herself busy hiking, camping in her old truck, walking, swimming at the YMCA, and working in her flower beds. She enjoyed having a cat. Sue was known in the community as a helpful and faithful friend to many.
She was the eldest of four children born to Ralph R. and Leola Mae (Dailey) Shook of Springfield. Preceding her in death were her parents and sister Barbara Jo McGrath.
Survivors include a brother, Ralph L. Shook and wife Evelyn (deceased) of Salem; brother Larry Shook and wife Amanda of Nixa; niece Vanessa Feeler and husband Chris, their children Lane and Ava of Belle; niece Andrea Martin and husband Sonny, their children, Levi, Anna, and Emma; niece Hannah Norris and husband Jacob, and their yet to be born daughter Haven Day Norris of Springfield; John Christian Burkett and wife Amie, their children Alexander, Justice, and Trinity of Springfield; niece Victoriah Shook of Warrensburg.
A Celebration of Sue’s life will be held at the Laclede County Library in Lebanon on Friday, Sept. 22, from 2-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Convoy of Hope.
