She enjoyed being a nurse and having the opportunity to help people. She made many friends during her career.

She and Clarence then retired to Phillipsburg, Missouri and bought a farm. They raised beef cattle and had horses and chickens. Diana loved horses and also discovered she had a new love for chickens. She enjoyed all her animals, but especially her dogs, which she loved dearly.

Diana had a sweet and spicy personality. Her first love was her family. They meant the world to her. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow up and was especially excited when she became a great-grandmother.
