Paul A. Lewis

Paul A. Lewis, 84 years, went home to Heaven on August 7, 2024, at Mercy Hospital. His family was by his side.

Paul was born September 2, 1939, in Lebanon, Missouri, to Robert and Alma (Myers) Lewis.

Paul was raised in the Lebanon area. He graduated from Lebanon High School in 1957.

In 1958, Paul and Janice Johnson were united in marriage and together they had four children, James Paul, Terry, Sabrina, and Chantele.

He moved to Falcon, Missouri and started working for MODOT. Paul worked there for 40 years until his retirement as a Superintendent in 2001 out of Ava, Missouri.

On November 9, 1990, Paul and Donna Wiley were united in marriage at Falcon.

Paul was a Christian and a member of Walnut Grove General Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and riding his tractor on the farm. When his health started to decline he loved sitting in his recliner watching the deer and turkey with his dog, Maggie Mae. His joy was his family and especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, Charles Willis, and his sister, Peggy Mooney.

Paul is survived by his wife, Donna; his children and their spouses, James Paul and Cindy Lewis, Terry and Ginger Lewis, Sabrina and Dean Wright, Chantele Adams, Roben Miller, and Sam and DeAnna Miller; 18 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; his sister, Wanda Sorrell; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services for Paul will be Monday, August 12, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, Missouri, with burial following in the Fannon Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home.

Officiating will be Rev. Robert Roberts and Pastor David Evans. Memorials may be made to the Fannon Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home of Ava.
