DON LEE MIZER

Don Lee Mizer, 84, of Springfield, formerly of Lebanon, died Tuesday, April 10, 2018, in Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.
He was born Dec. 16, 1933, in Lebanon, Mo. to Herb and Addie Henson Mizer.
On Aug. 28, 1969, he married L. Carol Tyre.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gordon and Floyd Mizer and a sister, Bernita Mizer.
Don was born and raised in the Lebanon area, and attended Blackfoot School. He worked at Lebanon Greenhouse for a few years and then was employed by the H.D. Lee Company for many years. He and Carol made their home in Springfield for the last several years.
He had attended New Hope Primitive Baptist Church near Long Lane.
Survivors include his wife, Carol, of the home; a son, Shaun Lee Mizer and his wife, Elizabeth, of Springfield; a daughter, Mariel Donita Mizer and her significant other, Norm Hackett Jr., of Springfield; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; a brother, Clifton Mizer, of Lebanon; a sister, Mary Lou Johnson, of Springfield, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Don Lee Mizer will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2018, in Holman-Howe Funeral Home with Elder Herb Cupit officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery, under the care and direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.
Friends may call at their convenience in the funeral home.
